Join the Canadian Marine Shipping Risk Forum for another “Beyond the Horizon” webinar to learn how Ocean Wise’s new Whale Report platform is helping ships avoid whales in waters around North America. This platform combines the previous Whale Report Alert System and the Whale Report app and adds new features, including virtual boundaries to allow mariners to receive alerts for their voyage area only, email and push notification alerts, and visibility of whale sightings for the public to increase engagement (with a 24 hr delay). Now, mariners will now be able to report whale sightings, and receive alerts, all in one place. If you’ve ever spotted a whale from on deck or on shore, you’ll want to learn more!
Alex Mitchell, Manager of Whale Report Alert System for Ocean Wise, will provide an overview and demonstration of the new platform and respond to questions.
