Clear Seas’ fifth body of work under the Marine Transportation Corridors initiative was released on March 2nd. The analysis sheds light on vessel traffic in Canada’s Pacific region. 

February 17, 2021 (Virtual) – The Canadian Marine Shipping Risk Forum and the Coast and Ocean Risk Communication Community of Practice hosted the webinar Building a shared perspective on Arctic waters through community-engaged research.

December 3, 2020 (Virtual) – The Canadian Marine Shipping Risk Forum hosted the workshop Creating an Inventory of Marine Shipping Risk Resources, aimed at developing an inventory of initiatives and information resources associated with marine shipping risk.

New mapping tool and associated report developed to support marine spatial planning in Canada’s Pacific Coast.

December 2, 2019 (Halifax, NS) – MEOPAR, Clear Seas and exactEarth hosted the workshop State of the Art in Shipping Risk and Modelling as part of the Canadian Marine Shipping Risk Forum.

Clear Seas, MEOPAR and exactEarth hosted an interactive workshop on how advances in maritime traffic monitoring and modelling can directly improve marine safety best practices, emergency response and cross-jurisdictional collaboration across the Pacific Northwest on April 11 and 12, 2016 in Vancouver, BC.
