On behalf of Clear Seas Centre for Responsible Marine Shipping, and our co-sponsors the Marine Environmental Observation Prediction and Response Network (MEOPAR) and exactEarth Ltd., we are pleased to announce the release of our workshop report: Better Decision Making Through Maritime Traffic Monitoring & Modelling. The report identifies best practices, discusses the current state of maritime traffic data acquisition, data management, modelling/application, resource-sharing, collaboration, government & community engagement, and the role of these activities in policy-making for marine safety – as described by participants of the workshop.
The workshop report seeks to contribute to the dialogue about the future of maritime domain management, with a focus on promoting a safe and sustainable marine shipping industry.
