Gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 ce partage des connaissances, les membres de la communaut\u00e9 de pratique peuvent appliquer cette gamme de technologies de mani\u00e8re nouvelle pour r\u00e9pondre aux besoins d&#8217;information en vue d&#8217;un environnement marin plus s\u00fbr.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>A propos des pr\u00e9sentateurs :<\/strong><\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Norma Serra Sogas, analyste environnementale, Plan de protection des oc\u00e9ans, Transports Canada<\/strong> <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Norma est analyste environnementale \u00e0 Transports Canada dans le cadre du Plan de protection des oc\u00e9ans.Son travail consiste, entre autres, \u00e0 d\u00e9velopper des syst\u00e8mes et des m\u00e9thodes de collecte et d&#8217;analyse d&#8217;informations sur les navires afin d&#8217;\u00e9clairer l&#8217;\u00e9valuation des activit\u00e9s des navires et de leurs impacts potentiels sur les environnements marins et c\u00f4tiers, y compris les navires qui n&#8217;utilisent pas d&#8217;AIS. Elle s&#8217;int\u00e9resse \u00e0 la planification et \u00e0 la gestion de la conservation c\u00f4ti\u00e8re, ainsi qu&#8217;aux \u00e9valuations d&#8217;impact environnemental. Norma est titulaire d&#8217;une ma\u00eetrise en sciences de l&#8217;Universit\u00e9 de Victoria et a \u00e9t\u00e9 associ\u00e9e de recherche pendant plus de 10 ans au sein du groupe de recherche CORAL de cette universit\u00e9. Elle est originaire de Barcelone, en Espagne, mais vit aujourd&#8217;hui dans la belle ville de Victoria, en Colombie-Britannique, avec son mari et sa fille.  <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Jorge Quijano, PhD, scientifique de projet, JASCO Applied Sciences  <\/strong> <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Jorge Quijano est scientifique de projet chez JASCO Applied Sciences (Canada), Ltd. \u00e0 Victoria, en Colombie-Britannique, depuis 2016. Il m\u00e8ne des recherches sur la mod\u00e9lisation du bruit anthropique et les techniques de d\u00e9convolution pour l&#8217;identification et la caract\u00e9risation des sources acoustiques. Il a obtenu un dipl\u00f4me en g\u00e9nie \u00e9lectrique de l&#8217;Instituto Tecnol\u00f3gico de Costa Rica en 2001, ainsi qu&#8217;une ma\u00eetrise et un doctorat en g\u00e9nie \u00e9lectrique de l&#8217;universit\u00e9 d&#8217;\u00c9tat de Portland, Portland, OR, \u00c9tats-Unis, en 2006 et 2010 respectivement.
