La vaste \u00e9tendue du Canada, l\u2019emplacement g\u00e9ographique des ressources, l\u2019infrastructure et le co\u00fbt de transport peuvent en \u00eatre la raison.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Par exemple, dans le cas des courants des \u00e9changes commerciaux du p\u00e9trole brut au Canada, la grande partie du commerce maritime du p\u00e9trole brut a lieu dans les provinces de l\u2019Atlantique en d\u00e9pit de la concentration en Alberta de la production du brut. La raison en est que la plus grande partie des exportations de p\u00e9trole brut de l\u2019Alberta est achemin\u00e9e par des pipelines de l\u2019Alberta aux \u00c9tats-Unis. Par contre, la plupart du p\u00e9trole brut export\u00e9 des provinces de l\u2019Atlantique est transport\u00e9e outre-mer en bateau.
